PLI, and in 2007 had 3 cows in UK top 1000 based on PLI; · Lord Lily Gina GP82 SP PLI 72,
· Lord Lily Joy GP84 PLI 78 (dam of Meadowlord Joy)
· Celsius Crocus NC SP, PLI 69.
In excess of 30 SP awards for superior lactations have been achieved in the past
12 months.
The Cleo family is the herds’ first successive fourth generation VG
or EX,
Lily Cleo is now EX91 4th calver, PLI 48, dam Bellwood Cleo EX90,
PLI 47, Grandam Tonic Cleo VG85, now decd. We have daughters
on the ground, Igniter Cleo, Cello Cleo (now VG86-2yrs and 3rd
Heifer on Insp in Border & Lakeland Herds Comp 2008 and due with her 2nd in
December) and Bonanza Allen Cleo (a
young Allen son from the Braedale Gypsy Grand family). Bellwood Cleo
has been flushed, and has two daughters by Kendall at Newheaton, while there are
Goldwyn pregnancies due in March 2009. Leadman Natalie EX 91(2E) LP50, SP, PLI 52 produced 13,500 litres as
a heifer, and 12,000 litres at 5.78% fat, 3.5% protein in her fourth lactation.
Her son from her 4th calving by Lucente was kept and scored EX 90
at 2.5yrs. His calves are on the ground although he is no longer with
us, and they look very promising and will soon be joining the
milking herd. Since then Natalie has been kept solely for flushing. Her
first
flush to Maughlin Storm left one bull (who was kept and is being used-
Newheaton Seti ).
Her flush to Shottle gave us 13 embryos in one go – with 4
daughters, and sons Newheaton Shottle Khnum and Shottle Aten born in
late 2007. Further flushes has been done to Shottle and Goldwyn and she
has Goldwyn sons
born early 2008 that are for sale at any time, she also bred four Goldwyn heifers
that are among the Newheaton youngstock, and one of these was sold at Carlisle
to Robbie Scott, Nethervalley.
IIn 2008 we entered the
Border & Lakeland Herds Competition for the first time, and had the following
success;

EX91 was part of the progeny group). She is due mid December.

Newheaton Webster Heather

Lily's which included Becky VG89, Pam VG88, Trudy VG88, Mitzy VG87, Eva VG85 and
